Latticed Lilac (Fail)

OK, I am officially OVER the Crackle/Shatter movement.
For the second time since I started this blog I am trying CG Latticed Lilac. HATE it, still. The color for this one is waay to light. You can't see any purple under or over tones on this one. Even on dark polish.
Next post will have no accent fingers, lol. Kind of my staple.
Here I painted my thumbs black then used CG Fault Line. I topped that with the metallic crackle. Here you can see a little shimmer. I say skip the Latticed Lilac.

Planks A Lot

Today is post is not pink. Sorry. It is a pic from the past.
Planks a lot with Silver Shatter. I take my pics any and everywhere.

Hello. Welcome. For today's post I'm going to share with you my collection of polish. Enjoy!
I use top coat to seal my nails after I apply a nail color. I love Sally Hansen's No Chip Top Coat and Seche Vite's Quick Dry Top Coat. But, Seche for almost $9 a bottle at some places, I don't feel you get to use the whole bottle. It gets thick at the end. I added nail polish remover to thin it a little. But it just made it worse. The best quick dry but the worse value. And this is Nails on the Cheap. So skip the Seche Vite.

Some singles. I only own one bottle of China Glaze outside of their Crackle line. Wow!
...more singles
Claire's! I could spend a whole day and a lot of money in their store, lol.
I'm not a fan of Essie. I think their polish formula is to thin and you need to be a pro to apply it. I own one bottle of color. That I HATE! I also have Matte about you only because I can't find Hardy Candy's Matte-ly in love anywhere. And I wanted to try matte nails, that I love, posts to come. Essie does the job for under $9 at your local drugstore.
I grew up on Wet n' Wild. Its $1.99 need I say more!
Oh, Dollar Store, yes I will marry you. .99 cents for some cool colors of shimmer and jelly polish. Sinful I enjoy, also, for a buck more.
I see you Sally! Xtreme Wear is great to apply. Normally two coats. Shinny and durable as hell.

Pic Heavy!
China Glazes Crackle Collection. I don't own Black Mesh or Platinum Pieces for these collections. Because I feel black is black. I have OPI's Black and Sliver Shatter. Some blogger say there is a difference to the slivers out there. But I'm cheap so I wouldn't know and wouldn't be finding out.
...more crackle
Left to Right
Black Shatter w/ Katy Perry's The one that got away
Sliver Shatter w/ Planks A lot
Red Shatter w/ Rally Pretty Pink
Luv it. Heaven!
Oh, Orly I can show some love for you too!

Serena Williams Glam Slam

Today's post is from OPI's Serena Williams Glam Slam.
This is Nails on the Cheap, but not that cheap, lol. I got this beauty when it first came out months ago from a seller on Amazon. Under $15 plus shipping.

This was the first "Red" shatter/crackle, whatever you want to call it, out. Then of course nearly every who's who brand of polish had a shatter/crackle. Red has been done at least twice by other brands.
At any rate I loved this formula. The Red Shatter is a jelly which makes it different from other colors and brands. It was very smooth and I don't do red. I love it and can't wait to pair it with something else.
Next time I'm going to go thicker on the brush. To see if I can get big breaks out of this one. A thin coat gave it more of a streaky break. Enjoy! Thanks.

Pink Wednesday

I made it! If I had known that blogging would be a full time job I would have posted this last night. OMG! At any rate here is my first Pink Wednesdays post. I used Sinful Colors in Fusion Neon and my accent nails I topped with OPI's Rally Pretty Pink from the Serena Glam Slam set. Enjoy!
RPP is a pink and gold shimmery affair. I say that because in the light it has so many different looks. Pink at one angle then like a gold bronze at the next. Love it!
The Sinful was a thin cream. It is VERY neon pink. This was three coats. But I'm heavy handed on the polish brush. Two top coats on everything.

Lovely Lilac

For today's post I am wearing a combination of brands. There is nothing wrong with pairing brands of great colors together. I have two new collections to share, paired of course.
First I picked Sally Hansen's Lacey Lilac. I love purple! This was a creamy smooth dream to apply. Two coats. It's like a Lilac flower with a hint of pink hues.

I took a lot of pics trying to capture what little lilac metallic there is to this crackle, smf.

I topped Sally Hansen with one of the new China Glaze's Crackle Metallic in Latticed Lilac. This is a very light metallic purple. I feel it looks a lot like OPI's Silver Shatter and CG's Platinum Pieces. I'll have to try it on a darker polish to show the pale purple & pink shimmery hues. I overdosed on Lilac, today, lol, ;~)

For my ring fingers I chose a collection by Orly. Their Happy Go Lucky color collection. I used Fresh. Which is a toned down neon green. It will not hurt your eyes and draw unwanted stares to your hand, lol. I would say its more of a dark mint. This also is a cream. Two coats. I topped this with some purple glitter from Sally Beauty called Sally Girl. It was .99 cents. How could I go wrong.

Swatches to come for the Orly mini collection.

Blue Gradient

Welcome to my page. I am very excited about my first post. I have seen a lot of post on YouTube and other nail blog sites about a gradient nail art design. For this look I chose three colors. I used a make-up sponge that I cut into squares. My base was Sally Hansen Blue Me Away. Then I sponged on two more blues. In the following order: Sinful Colors Paradise and a Dollar Store find by L.A. Colors. We all know that Dollar Store polishes, unfortunately, do not put the color name on the bottle, smf. I guess that would move the price above a $1, lol. My only regret is that I didn't sponge on enough Sinful in between the darker blues. With L.A. being a dark shimmery blue it washed out the Sinful:-(
I hope you guys like it. More to come. .  . Stay tuned.
